Sustainability

We are serious about sustainability.
Tête de Mule strives for beautiful and well crafted products, produced in a way that is less harmful for the environment. That is why we utilize sustainable organically sourced cotton, following the GOTS certification, in most of our garments.

The production of organic cotton uses techniques and materials that have a lower impact on the environment. For example, the cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and spun without the addition of chemicals. The crop is naturally protected against harmful insects by, for example, making use of butterflies and ladybugs. All this ensures that organic cotton is better for the environment as well as for the health of cotton farmers and their surroundings.

Less CO2.
The production of organic cotton releases much less CO than the production of "regular" cotton. An average of 978 kilograms of CO is released to produce 1000 kilograms of organic cotton. Regular, non-organic, cotton production puts out about 1800 kilograms of CO₂.

More pleasant for the skin.
Organic cotton clothing is more pleasant for sensitive skin due to its unedited nature and the absence of irritating dyes. In addition, it appears that it is softer and thicker than conventional cotton and therefore clothes made of organic cotton last longer. This is because with conventional cotton the fibers are weakened by the chemicals used in production.

Tête de Mule Couture only sells clothing approved by the Fair Wear Foundation.

Garment Care Instructions

Wash the garment inside out, and at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Utilize a maximum of 1000 revolutions per minute centrifuge speed. Do not tumble dry.

To avoid unnecessary washing, use a lint roller to keep the garment lint free, and store in a dry, preferably closed-off space.

The Atelier Collection.

During a design trip in Brussels, Belgium, the grandeur of the architecture inspired the designers. "Atelier" encapsulates the stunning beauty of these buildings. The collection draws inspiration from the elegant facades in Paris, the raw yet refined style of Brussels, and the classical charm of Amsterdam, where we started.
