We are serious about sustainability.
Tête de Mule strives for beautiful and well crafted products, produced in a way that is less harmful for the environment. That is why we utilize sustainable organically sourced cotton, following the GOTS certification, in most of our garments.
The production of organic cotton uses techniques and materials that have a lower impact on the environment. For example, the cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and spun without the addition of chemicals. The crop is naturally protected against harmful insects by, for example, making use of butterflies and ladybugs. All this ensures that organic cotton is better for the environment as well as for the health of cotton farmers and their surroundings.
Less CO2.
The production of organic cotton releases much less CO₂ than the production of "regular" cotton. An average of 978 kilograms of CO₂ is released to produce 1000 kilograms of organic cotton. Regular, non-organic, cotton production puts out about 1800 kilograms of CO₂.
More pleasant for the skin.
Organic cotton clothing is more pleasant for sensitive skin due to its unedited nature and the absence of irritating dyes. In addition, it appears that it is softer and thicker than conventional cotton and therefore clothes made of organic cotton last longer. This is because with conventional cotton the fibers are weakened by the chemicals used in production.
Tête de Mule Couture only sells clothing approved by the Fair Wear Foundation.
Wash the garment inside out, and at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Utilize a maximum of 1000 revolutions per minute centrifuge speed. Do not tumble dry.
To avoid unnecessary washing, use a lint roller to keep the garment lint free, and store in a dry, preferably closed-off space.
The Garment is printed in a more sustainable way, and as a result should not be washed within four days of receiving the garment, this way, the printing gets stronger after being in contact with open air for a while.
The Saint-Germain Collection.
Tête de Mule's founders immersed themselves in the daily Parisian lifestyle, finding inspiration for a new collection.
This sparked the idea for Tête de Mule's next project. Captivated by Parisian charm, the founders envisioned a collection of the elegance of Saint-Germain and daily objects a stubborn Parisian can't live without.
Most designs were made in an appartment hidden somewhere in Saint-Germain and local cafes. The week-long design trip left a lasting impression, inspiring a collection that combines vintage graphics with modern elements, capturing the timeless charm of the Parisian.
